ABOUT THE CLUB

We are a wrestling club for boys ages 4-17.

Our goals are for our wrestlers to HAVE FUN as they:

  • Grow in skill and character

  • Build friendships

  • Learn to draw on Jesus for strength to do difficult things

  • Experience God's JOY as they use their bodies to worship Him with sport!

Our club began in winter of 2024. There were 37 boys in the club and 7 coaches! It was a fun year of learning how to wrestle, growing in toughness, camaraderie, and learning to draw on Jesus for power to wrestle unto him!

The club was started by Head Coach, Dan Hughes. Dan is a former All-State high school wrestler, and wrestled in college for Michigan State University. He's married and has four kids (two of which are sons who are in the club).

The coaches of Wild Warrior Wrestling Club have a passion to mentor the boys to grow in character and toughness as they fix their eyes on Jesus and have fun with the sport of wrestling.

The club is open to boys ages 4-17. We're excited to have our practices at Mt Zion Community Center in Waterford, MI as of the 2025 winter season.
